It’s been three months since Parker passed.
We are grieving. We are healing. We are a mix of hope, sadness, faith, lament, and love.
We’ve found a little bit of stability and the waves of peace are generally longer, but the sadness is still deep and painful and can sneak up on you at any time.
I’ve been working through a few more ideas I want to share, and Erica and I are working on a post together as well, but for now, I thought I’d share with you the eulogy I spoke at Parker’s funeral, for those of you who weren’t able to be there. The service was on November 27, 2019, just 4 days after he passed from this life to the next.
(It runs about 11 minutes, starting around the 17:00 mark.)
Your life will always feel too short to me, Parker, but I love how you lived it while you were here. I loved how kind and sweet and loving you were, and I hope that this eulogy is just another way for people to remember that.
Thanks again to all of you for your prayers and love, we are so grateful for the support.
May the unconditional love, grace & peace of God comfort you. Thanks for sharing=}
